In the interest of public safety and confidence as well as efforts toward providing a sustainable service we are asking the following of parents, coaches and participants. Please read and follow these City of Mentor COVID-19 policies.

MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN THE FACILITY AT ALL TIMES ON AND OFF THE ICE.

Please notify the Arena (immediately) if you or a family member test positive for COVID and have been to the arena in the past 14 days.

The following parameters shall be set regarding spectators:

MENTOR, Ohio – With the impact of the coronavirus, subsequent pandemic, and the guidelines imposed by the State of Ohio, it is with careful consideration and deliberation that as of December 31, 2020, the Mentor Ice Breakers Professional Hockey Team will permanently cease to operate and exist. The Ohio COVID-19 Guidelines imposed early in 2020 have made it very difficult to sustain and generate the revenue necessary to continue operations.

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Lake County and at the recommendation of the Lake County General Health District, the Mentor Ice Arena and the Wildwood Cultural Center will be closed to the public effective Monday, November 23, 2020 through the remainder of the calendar year. All public activities and scheduled events at these facilities are cancelled. Refunds will be made available to those who have registered for an activity.

In the interest of public safety and confidence as well as efforts toward providing a sustainable service we are asking the following of parents, coaches and participants. Please read and follow these City of Mentor COVID-19 policies.

Effective August 3, 2020, MASKS ARE MANDATORY IN THE FACILITY AT ALL TIMES.  Skaters, coaches and officials may remove them while on the ice. Bench coaches and personnel must wear masks. Skaters, please bring a brown bag with your name on it to put your mask in when you are skating.

Ice Arena Assistant ( Ice maintenance) Part-time

The City of Mentor is seeking a part-time Arena Assistant. Experience working with equipment used in ice resurfacing preferred. Duties include a wide variety of tasks involved in the maintenance of the ice surface. Hours of work vary, with weekend and evening hours required. Position requires 22-28 hours of work per week. Selected individual must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills, along with organizational and leadership abilities are desired.
